A scan that opens your Instagram surface inside the IG app, not a browser preview. Followers tap once, the Follow button is at the top. Use it on packaging, menus, posters, business cards — anywhere you want offline customers to become online followers.
Pick the surface, not just the URL. Profile is the default. Switch to Post / Reel mode for a specific piece of content — your link editor handles it.
Pick the right mode
ProfileJust enter your username. Builds
instagram.com/yourhandle. Default for "follow us" cards.
PostPaste the post URL. Scanners land on that specific post — useful for campaign-specific drops.
ReelPaste the reel URL. Reels-format playback opens immediately.
Paste URLStory highlight, IGTV, anything else. Paste the full URL and the link routes there.
Setting it up
1
Open the link editor at
/app/links/new and pick Instagram from the type tiles.2
Pick a mode — Profile / Post / Reel / Paste URL. The fields change to match.
3
Fill the field. For profile, type the username (no @ needed). For post / reel, paste the URL from your browser.
4
Save. Print the QR or share the short link.
Where it earns its print run
- Packaging inserts: drop the QR in every order, scanners follow before unboxing-video makers post about you.
- Restaurant / café table cards: diners follow between courses.
- Trade-show booths + step-and-repeat: cold-traffic followers from one event.
- Business-card back: pair with a vCard QR for "save contact + follow" on one card.
Editing the destination later
Edit at any time from the link editor. Switch modes (e.g. point at a launch reel during a campaign, swap back to profile afterwards) without reprinting the QR — the underlying short link stays the same.
